The Valemont Alabaster Wall Sconce is a torch held out from the wall. A short brass arm leaves a round backplate and meets a slim upright rod: a Spanish alabaster globe sits at the top like a flame. and three stacked balls weigh the bottom like a counterbalance. the way a torchère is capped and footed. In the brass finish. a walnut segment and two walnut beads are set into the rod; in nickel and black the whole rod is metal. A pull chain hangs from the backplate. borrowed from old brass reading lamps. Lit from within. the stone glows cloud-white with amber veins. which is why this alabaster globe wall sconce with pull chain was designed for bedside walls. hallways. and living rooms in mid-century and art deco homes.
